Jerry opens the program with his rendition of "When a Red, Red Robin Comes Bob Bob Bobbin' Along" then clowns with comedian Phil Foster who makes a surprise visit. Sam Cooke sings two of his greatest hits. Phil and Jerry performed an extended comedy routine after which Phil interacts with the Marquis Chimps who then perform a series of stunts on their own.
