The Girl with the Red Shoes Dateline : Season 24 Episode 41

Utah, 2012: Annie Kasprzak, a former foster child, now has a second chance at a happy life after being adopted by her case worker. Then, one night in March, the 15-year-old vanishes, leaving behind a note revealing a secret she has been hiding. Less than 24 hours later, her body is found in the nearby Jordan river. Her best friend was the last to see her alive and he says she had a boyfriend named LJ. The mysterious LJ may be the only lead the police have to her killer. The case almost goes cold until a hairdresser turned detective, with the help of the victim's determined mom, uncovers the truth. Dennis Murphy reports.
